Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Research Technician to join our team. Supports the cultivation, monitoring, and harvesting of mushrooms while ensuring accurate data collection, sanitation, and quality control. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of mushroom cultivation processes and practices. Conduct quality control during mushroom harvesting, making observations on crop quality, and learning to optimize harvest for size and shape. Track all production to individual tests and accurately record data using proprietary software, bar code readers, and scales. Download and process daily harvesting data from individual laptops to the central network. Maintain strict sanitation procedures to prevent disease and cross-contamination. Monitor and harvest specialty mushrooms according to protocols and test requirements. Collaborate closely with the breeding team to ensure all tests are conducted as planned. Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, trays, tubs and frames and perform required inspections Follow all Company safety procedures, SOP's, sanitation requirements, and established protocols.
Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to operate a forklift to move raw materials, supplies, trays and tubs as needed throughout the facility. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to learn and follow established processes. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to lift 50-60 lbs. regularly. Mechanical aptitude is a plus. Forklift certification.
Additional Requirements:
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence. Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed in a small team environment.
