Job Description
Meta is seeking a Research Scientist to advance computer vision and AI research in support of Meta's broader mission to build the next generation of intelligent systems. In this role, you will conduct original research in areas such as visual perception, 3D scene understanding, image and video recognition, and generative vision models. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to translate research insights into scalable AI capabilities that power Meta's products and platforms, from augmented and virtual reality experiences to large-scale content understanding systems.
Qualifications:
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in computer vision, machine learning, computer science, or a related field 2+ years of research experience in computer vision, including work on 3D reconstruction, SLAM, or related areas Experience in developing and training deep learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch Experience implementing and evaluating computer vision algorithms and conducting rigorous experimental comparisons Experience communicating research findings through publications, technical reports, or presentations to peers Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment Experience with large-scale vision-language models, self-supervised learning, or generative image and video modeling Experience with 3D vision tasks including depth estimation, novel view synthesis, neural radiance fields, or multi-view reconstruction Demonstrated software engineering experience through internships, open-source contributions, or research engineering roles Proven track record of publications at leading computer vision or machine learning venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, or SIGGRAPHBenefits
