Job Description
DUTIES:
Perform financial and risk analytics supporting enterprise-wide capital planning, including forecasting Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), capital levels, and capital ratios across regulatory and internal scenarios. Apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical financial issues, including derivative valuation, securities trading, risk management, and financial market regulation. Interpret results of financial analysis procedures. Identify, track, and maintain metrics. Execute components of stress-testing processes, including the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Quarterly Multi-Year Multi-Scenario Forecasting (QMMF), by contributing to scenario design, performing forecast calculations, and analyzing key risk drivers and balance sheet impacts. Define or recommend model specifications and data collection methods. Devise or apply independent models or tools to verify results of analytical systems. Support programs and projects arising from audit and regulatory commitments by assisting with the planning, execution, and completion of assigned workstreams within defined timelines and scope. Prepare requirements documentation. Provide application or analytical support. Conduct advanced quantitative financial analysis and develop financial models to support capital planning, risk assessment, and other finance initiatives. Produce written summary reports of financial research and analytical results. Perform financial data management and governance activities to help maintain the integrity, quality, and consistency of critical financial data used across Finance and Global Treasury for capital planning and stress testing purposes. Evaluate and document process controls to help ensure accuracy and compliance with capital planning standards and support remediation of regulatory, risk management, and audit findings. Develop and implement processes using AI and workflow tools to enhance productivity and process efficiency. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related quantitative occupation. Five (5) years of experience must include: Developing and automating capital planning controls, processes, and analytic workflows using R, Python, KNIME, Alteryx, and Tableau while interpreting and applying 12 CFR 225.8 requirements to assess compliance and impacts on capital adequacy; Creating AI prompts for document review/comparison and drafting requirements documents aligned to updated regulatory or business data needs; Applying U.S. regulatory capital frameworks includingFR Y-14A, BCBS
239, CCAR, Basel III, andSR 15-18
to validate capital-related data and assess implications for capital adequacy and regulatory compliance; Designing control and validation routines to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy of data used in RWA forecasting, stress testing, and capital ratio projections; and Documenting end-to-end data lineage, transformation logic, and control points for capital planning and regulatory reporting datasets to support audit, governance, and regulatory examinations.
