Maintain accuracy of historical databases related to commercial-vehicle powertrain and technology. Analyze and forecast commercial-vehicle market topics with a focus on assigned global markets, including regulations and trucking trends. Monitor and analyze current automotive industry news and trends, focusing on medium- and heavy-commercial vehicles. Develop and produce written analytical reports that demonstrate a thorough understanding of market dynamics and forecasts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for special consulting projects. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of automotive technologies, regulatory changes, and market developments. Contribute to the creation and enhancement of forecast datasets related to the automotive industry. Represent company externally at conferences and other industry events. Conduct in-person meetings with clients to present findings and provide strategic recommendations. /experience:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field plus two (2) years of experience in global market forecasting or a related occupation. Two (2) years of experience must include Econometrics and quantitative modeling; MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; analyzing the automotive powertrain market; presentation skills gained with small and large audiences; functional understanding of a dedicated statistics/econometrics software package, such as E-Views, STATA or "R"; and knowledge of the medium- and/or heavy-truck market in North America, illustrated by previous work on North American market data.
