Job Overview The Data Research Associate (DRA) is an integral part of the Service Delivery team, responsible for researching, verifying, and accurately documenting background screening information. Following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), DRAs review candidate-provided information, perform independent verification using authorized sources, and document their findings in client-facing reports. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, consistent productivity, adherence to quality and compliance standards, and professional communication skills. The position supports both entry-level and experienced researchers and may include conducting verifications in English and other languages, depending on business needs.
Principal Accountabilities:
Conduct thorough research, analysis, and verification of information using court records, government agencies, and other authorized sources. Interpret and apply federal, state, client-specific, and our reporting guidelines to accurately identify reportable information. Deliver accurate, compliant, and timely background screening results that support internal teams and meet client expectations.
Detailed Job Responsibilities:
Process and complete background reports according to reporting guidelines and standards Ensure accurate and prompt turnaround on all reports Contact courts and other government agencies as assigned to find additional information in order to complete the background check, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times. Maintain in-depth working knowledge of all guidelines Provide timely follow-up and follow through on all request, reports and escalations Continued training and passing of quizzes on new or updated knowledge of processes Subject Matter expert on states, counties, cities assigned. Utilize designated software systems and tools to perform daily research and documentation tasks Quickly and effectively research and verify facts provided by Candidates to ensure the screening process is completed in a timely manner. Process background reports according to current reporting guidelines and standards Maintain in-depth working knowledge of all current guidelines Ensure accurate and prompt turnaround on all reports Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to cross-train in additional functions as business needs evolve. Ensure all actions comply with all applicable Data Protection legislations Assist team members and collaborate effectively to ensure customer expectations and service levels are met. Support special projects or initiatives as assigned. Utilizing available resources such as telephone, email, internet, etc, to verify Candidates' employment history, education, and/or professional qualification components as require by client needs. Maintain a high level of ethics Maintain a thorough and up-to-date working knowledge of applicable federal, state, client, and our guidelines.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in administrative support, data entry, customer service, or research-related roles is preferred. Demonstrate exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment. Proficient in using computers, web-based applications, and online databases to research, locate, and verify information. Utilize strong internet research skills to efficiently gather, validate, and document information from multiple authorized sources. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with courts, government agencies, and other external partners via phone, email, and fax. Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and established deadlines. Exhibit strong self-motivation, a sense of urgency, and accountability to ensure records are researched, verified, and completed in a timely manner.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
