Research Operations Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Research, the Research Associate will play a crucial role in the execution, maintenance, and data collection of our research trials to ensure high-quality and reliable results. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between hands-on fieldwork and clerical data entry and collection.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

This list of essential functions and responsibilities is not all inclusive and maybe expanded to include other duties as management may deem necessary for the needs of the company. Daily animal husbandry. Daily additional animal care as mandated by the research protocol. Assist with the collection of research samples (feed, milk, blood, urine, fecal, ect) Prep all trial products/items as assigned by the Director of Research. Assist with the movement of cows/calves including pen assignments for trial work. Collect, record, and manage trial data accurately and consistently while preserving confidentiality of the data. Complete all trial work assignments and clerical work in a timely manner. Run errands for farm and trial supplies. Complete all shared housekeeping responsibilities. Complete all other duties as assigned.

Animal care mindfulness. Good effective communication with team members, vendors, and customers. Effective time management skills. Manage data integrity and confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel experience required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to write reports and documentation of research trials. Creative thinker, motivated, and highly organized. Team player with a positive attitude.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Two year Technical Degree preferred. 3-5 Years of farm experience, not afraid of large farm animals. Strong hands-on industrial farm machinery and tools experience. Valid driver's license. Spanish knowledge helpful.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for prolong time, walk and use hands to hold or operate objects, tools or controls. Able to reach with hands and arms, kneel, bend, crouch, climb ladders/stairs and twist body if necessary. Frequent ability to lift up to 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs on occasion. The Research Associate works in the field; therefore, will be exposed to weather, chemicals, or slippery conditions of the work area.

Pay:
