School of Pharmacy - RC2950 Job Description This position will help with the design, and conduct, of head and neck, lung, and breast cancer research. This is a temporary appointment with an initial appointment for one year, and is renewable if progress is satisfactory and funds are available. Appointments cannot exceed two years. The incumbent will design and evaluate experiments, and prepare and publish scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator. Additional responsibilities include being responsible for the operation of specific equipment and training, or supervising, research staff and students. Highly motivated applicants who have a Ph. D. (for postdoctoral fellow) or BS/MS (for research assistant), and are interested in molecular oncology and molecular therapeutics with a strong background in pathology and cellular/molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong communication skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues
Salary Range:
$37,500 - $56,000 - Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity Education Ph. D, M.D., ScD, D.V.M, DDS, etc in an appropriate field within the last five years (for PostDoctoral) BS/MS in biological/pharmaceutical sciences (for Research Assistant) Experience Experience working with animals, miRNA, and analyzing high-throughput array data.
