Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of Section Manager and Senior Engineers, Water Resources the Student Assistant (Engineering and Architectural Sciences) will assist with hydrologic and hydraulics (H&H), and geomorphic study projects carried out by Risk Assessment and Mapping Section (RAMS) including Floodplain Risk assessment special studies. The incumbent will also support technical work on scientific Research and Development efforts for innovative tools development, data assimilation and quality control, artificial intelligence (AI) applications in modeling and mapping studies, sections H&H model development and validation activities, and web-based information management application in support of the RAMS technical study projects and risk mapping program activities. Special Requirements All applicants for Student Assistant positions must met the following department eligibility requirements: Enrolled in nine (9) semester/eight (8) quarters for undergraduate student or six (6) semester/four 94) quarter units for graduate students.

Achieved a 2.0 grade point average in the most recently completed academic term.

Declared a major related to the duties of the advertised position and enrolled in coursework required for that major.
