Position Category Scientific, Research & Analysis Clearance Top Secret/SCI Responsibilities The Senior Behavioral Scientist provides expertlevel behavioral research leadership, methodological rigor, and humanfactors integration supporting planning synchronization within Fusion Synchronization Center (FSC) environments. The role designs and executes complex behavioral studies, synthesizes attitudinal and observational insights, and ensures validated humancentric findings directly inform operational planning cycles, decisionsupport outputs, and mission effectiveness. Core Responsibilities Behavioral research design
  • Plan and lead major behavioral and attitudinal research studies addressing complex operational questions and highimpact assignments. Survey & protocol development
  • Design surveys, focus groups, and experimental protocols using validated behavioral science methodologies. Sampling & data collection
  • Select appropriate sampling strategies and direct data collection activities across multiple concurrent tasks. Qualitative & quantitative analysis
  • Analyze results using rigorous analytical approaches, synthesize findings, and produce research reports aligned with operational decision requirements. Performance evaluation
  • Evaluate research performance outcomes and recommend methodological or operational adjustments that improve project growth and mission effectiveness. Humanfactors integration
  • Integrate validated behavioral insights into FSC planning synchronization pipelines to ensure humancentric considerations inform planning cycles and decisionsupport outputs.
This position is contingent on award of contract. Qualifications TS/SCI active clearance
Years of Exp/Degree:
8 years with
BS/BA, 6
years with MS/MA or 3 years with PhD Behavioral research mastery
  • Survey design, experimental protocols, qualitative/quantitative analysis. Humanfactors expertise
  • Integration of behavioral insights into planning and decisionsupport workflows. Methodological rigor
  • Sampling strategies, validity/reliability standards, mixedmethods approaches. Operational alignment
  • Ability to translate behavioral findings into missionrelevant insights. Portfolio leadership
  • Managing multiple research efforts under hightempo operational timelines. Communication excellence
  • Clear synthesis of complex behavioral findings for technical and nontechnical audiences.

Target Salary Range $104,000
  • $166,000.
This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
