Description :
Possesses, understands, and applies a comprehensive knowledge in area of specialization. Develops understanding and skills to allow for completion of assignments that cross fields of specialization. Develops leadership and management skills. 1. Receives/Reviews progress and evaluates results of experiments or projects under control or supervisory responsibility. 2. Recommends changes in research, testing or experimental procedures. 3. May be responsible for a single highly technical and complex piece of research equipment. 4. May review and evaluate the effectiveness of personnel. 5. May plan for and assign personnel to projects under control. 6. Operates with latitude for unreviewed action. 7. May receive general supervision conferring with higher levels only in unusual situations. 8. Performs other job-related duties as required.
Additional Job Posting Information:
Accepting applications for postdoctoral fellowship in African American Studies with an emphasis in literary studies and public humanities. This position requires managerial skills, podcasting experience, social media familiarity, and research skills. The successful applicant must be prepared to assist with developing podcasts that both develop archives and illuminate archives and manage an ongoing oral history project, including supervision of 3-4 undergraduate student interns. In addition, the applicant must be prepared to assist with research related to biographical projects. Overall, the applicant will be assisting with the production of Black life studies in written and oral forms. The successful candidate will primarily work with Dr. Tara T. Green and her collaborators, including other faculty and undergraduate students. Research support for the candidate will be provided.
Preferred:
Demonstrated experience with podcasting, researching and editing.
