Description & Details:
Temporary assignment at an agricultural research center responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities of the Soil Science Program.
Responsibilities:
Field work, including soil or plant sample collection, weeding and other tasks related to trial maintenance, assisting with trial preparation and harvesting, note taking and data collection. Laboratory duties, including plant and soil sample preparation, weighing samples, and data entry. A limited amount of time may be spent on grounds and facility maintenance activities. Additionally, some greenhouse work may be needed that involves tasks such as processing soil samples, conducting germination tests, planting, and maintaining pot experiments.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5
PM Advertised Pay:
Commensurate with experience. Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Willingness to be timely to work schedule and desire to put forth consistent and full work days. The experience or demonstrated ability to learn the skills necessary to operate specialized research equipment and follow written and verbal instructions. Detail orientated, ability to maintain focus on task.
