Flexible Schedule Position Introduction:
The CHAOS group led by Dr. Aaron Hill is seeking a motivated undergraduate research assistant to conduct research in aviation weather hazards and artificial intelligence/machine learning. The student selected for this project will gather, organize, and prepare weather hazard datasets to later train predictive models that will anticipate and predict hazards multiple days in advance. The student chosen will use data analysis tools, primarly with Python, to quantify hazard climatologies and observational biases, and relate past hazardous weather to environmental variables important for prediction.
Required Education:
Must be currently enrolled in at least 2 Terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma (i.e., a rising Sophomore student). Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status. Must attach Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 (if available) class schedule Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher Must have attained a C or greater in
