Position Description Summary Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester, part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise in the Department of Environmental Geographical and Geological Sciences (EGGS). A hidden gem in Pennsylvania, our interdisciplinary program is both broad and sufficiently in-depth to prepare environmental scientists, watershed specialists, geologists, hydrologists, geographic information systems specialists, soil scientists, conservation officials, fish and game officers, and emergency managers for rewarding careers right out of school or to be competitive for graduate school.

Applicants would be expected to teach at least one section of an existing Soil Science course in the Environmental, Geographical, and Geological Sciences curriculum. They would be responsible for teaching the content material, grading, holding office hours, and submitting final grades for the semester. Course(s) may include:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS MS

with at least 4 years of professional experience in the field Degree in Soil Science or demonstrably related field Academic specialization, prior teaching experience, and/or prior professional experience relevant to course assignment needs of the department at the time of the appointment
