Job DescriptionUses an applied approach in performing moderate/complex technological functions within laboratory operations including method validationConducts applied standard and experimental testing under the direction of the Technical teamWorks from, detailed specifications and verbal instructionsInterprets and evaluates resultsCalibration and set up of equipment prior to analysisMaintain and record equipment calibrationsMay troubleshoot and repair equipment or components under the guidance of senior team membersDemonstrates advanced knowledge of LIMSDemonstrates advanced knowledge of QMS & may be required to investigate corrective actionsCarries out routine and non-routine equipment maintenanceStrong technical knowledge of instrumentation and analytical techniquesWill approve data without the direction of supervisorInitiative and independent judgment are required in applying standard proceduresMaintains a clean working environmentProvide guidance and training to more junior laboratory personnelFollows all company health, safety, and environmental policiesFollows all Quality system protocols and reports any discrepancies to the SupervisorMay be asked to work in other areas of the Environmental laboratory services department when neededMay be assigned and coordinate special or ad hoc projects as neededQualificationsAssociate's degree in an Agricultural or science-related program (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Plant Science, or related field)
