The Department of Plant & Wildlife Sciences at BrighamYoung University invites applications for a continuing faculty status (CFS)position in Plant and Landscape Systems. We seek a candidate whose teaching andresearch programs will strengthen the department's Plant and Landscape Systemsprogram. The successful candidate will teach 3-4 regular classroom orlaboratory courses per year in the Plant and Landscape Systems program plusmentoring courses. Potential courses include Introduction to Plant andLandscape Systems, Trees, Residential Landscape Design, and related offerings.

The applicant should document their teaching interests, experience, and vision,along with how these could strengthen the program. The successful candidatewill lead an externally funded research program that prioritizes mentoringundergraduate and graduate students, with a record of quality peer-reviewedpublications and presentations evaluated relative to career status. A visionfor obtaining research funding and leading a student-focused research programis required. Faculty are expected to participate actively in departmental,college, and university governance and to engage in the intellectual andcommunity life of the university. A doctoral degree is required in a fieldrelevant to plant and landscape systems. The required degree must be completedby the start date.
