Job Description

Stowe High School is looking for a Long Term Substitute for HS Science, beginning October 13th through December 23rd.

Responsibilities would include:

Proctoring and grading tests created by teacher. Introducing, supporting, and helping students with learning opportunities and lessons. Providing feedback and support to students during learning. As well as answering questions about basic scientific concepts and skills in Biology and AP Environmental Science.

Biology- will focus on homeostasis exercise labs that are self-created, with a focus on experimental design, data analysis and collection, and procedure creation and revision/critique with introductory lessons afterwards on biological molecules and cells. Weekly Friday assessments on content and skills learned during the week.

AP Environmental Science- This will be self-directed and will focus on learning content and practicing content regarding population sciences, soil sciences, land management, food production, and electricity generation. Weekly quizzes will be based on college board MCQ questions that need to be graded.
