The Water Resources Technician produces, summarizes, and conveys technical information to District personnel and external stakeholders; assists with outreach and management of water conservation programs; supports accounting of raw and finished water supplies; compiles, analyzes, and summarizes data for water loss audits; assists in managing surplus water leases to area irrigators or other parties; updates, organizes, and maps water resource and water use data within the District's Geographic Information System (GIS); assists with the District's Water Conservation Programs; and assists in the modification of existing computer programs or development of new programs for water resource operations Bachelor's degree in water resource management, watershed science, civil engineering, or closely related field required. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for education. A valid Colorado driver's license and satisfactory driving record to drive District vehicles is also required.
