Requirements:
Essential Functions of the Job Noxious weed pulling and spraying throughout the mountain Recycling and compost sorting as needed Planting and seeding native flora in disturbed sites Assist with new and post construction invasive/noxious weed monitoring Maintenance of hiking trails Perform other duties as assigned. What You Bring to Bogus Basin Some education in sustainability, environmental science, environmental education, conservation, leadership, or related field. Passion and basic knowledge of sustainability & waste diversion programs Must be at least 20 years of age with a valid driver's license. Passion for the Bogus Basin Mission. Excellent verbal and written science communication skills. Desire to care for open spaces and the environment. Comfortable communicating with the public about sustainability initiatives. Background check required. Availability to work for the rest of the season (August-October) Preferred Qualifications Ability to navigate on uneven terrain Physical Requirements Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.? Ability to work in uneven and variable weather conditions Operate vehicles including trucks and side by sides Handling hand tools, such as brush cutters and loppers.
