Job Description The Facilities Technician 4
  • UPW & IWW plays a critical role in supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations by maintaining and optimizing ultra-pure water (UPW), industrial wastewater, and water reclaim systems.
This position is responsible for ensuring system reliability, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement across water treatment and recycling processes. Key Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain ultra-pure water (UPW) and wastewater treatment systems, including RO/DI systems and ACID Waste Neutralization (AWN) Support water recycling and reuse systems, including DI reclaim and Industrial Reclaim Water (IRW) processes Troubleshoot and repair complex utility systems including pumps, motors, valves, piping, and fluid distribution systems Maintain and repair control systems, sensors, and instrumentation across water and wastewater processes Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities on critical utilities equipment (chillers, CDA systems, boilers, air handlers, scrubbers, and cooling systems) Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system performance and reliability Conduct water quality testing and wastewater sampling using lab and analytical equipment Monitor system performance using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and trend analysis to identify deviations and optimize operations Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, discharge limits, and reporting requirements Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reporting to support audits and inspections Track water usage and support sustainability, conservation, and reduction initiatives Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including 5S and inventory management Pay ranges from 35
  • 48/hr based on qualifications and years of experience.

  • Associate's degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related) OR equivalent hands-on experience
  • Hands-on experience with DI/UPW systems and/or wastewater treatment processes
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on pumps, valves, piping, and fluid systems
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems including motors and controls
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab) environments
  • Experience supporting water recycling/reclaim systems and sustainability initiatives
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and hazardous material safety protocols
  • Familiarity with control systems (PLC, HMI, PID loops)
  • Experience with instrumentation, metrology tools, and process monitoring systems
  • Experience using SPC, control charts, or data analysis tools
