Part-time Job Purpose:

To provide a safe and enjoyable experience to Zoo Atlanta s Members and guests on all rides and attractions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to safely and efficiently operate all rides and attractions including the Zoo train, Wild Explorer (the 360° virtual reality experience) and Treetop Trail and Treetop Tykes (ropes courses) Responsible for maintaining the highest level of safety in the work area by complying with all safety protocols and procedures Outfit participants in climbing harnesses and make the needed adjustments to fit their body (Treetop attractions/ropes courses) Attend mandatory training and meetings Maintain positive working relationships and communication with all Zoo Atlanta teammates Must be willing to support Zoo Atlanta s Vision, Mission, and Values Perform any other miscellaneous projects/assignment assigned by Zoo Atlanta s management team Must pass practical and written tests from RCI (the company who created our ropes courses)

Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver s license with a clean driving record Must have weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) Must be comfortable working 30+ feet in the air (Treetop Trail) 16 years or older Ability to understand and use a harness properly (Zoo Atlanta will provide this training) Comfortable being in close proximity to people of all ages and genders Must be friendly, outgoing and approachable Must be able to multi-task and pay close attention to details Zoo Atlanta is open to the public 363 days out of the year; therefore, all positions at Zoo Atlanta may require employees to work some weekends, holidays and evenings Multi-lingual a plus

Physical Demands :

Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach the overhead track on the Treetop attractions. Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Most work will be outdoors in all kinds of weather Ability to work with large groups Ability to work with children of all ages Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
