The Northeastern Region Branch within the Wildlife Division is looking for someone to fulfill a Fish and Wildlife Management Foreman position. With supervision, this position will be responsible for implementing habitat management practices on public land in the northeast region. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Preferred applicants will document knowledge and experience with various land management and forest management practices and techniques, including implementation of those practices. This position will provide support and input to public land staff and work cohesively with regional and department staff. Assist with specialized regional or divisional projects as needed. Work in other parts of the state for short stints will be required. Be able to comply with the department's prescribed fire standards and herbicide application requirements. Preferred Skills and Abilities include, but are not limited to, the following: A working knowledge of farm equipment is needed for this position. Supervisory skills are needed for this position. Some computer skills will be required, general knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Office. Crew leader/supervisory experience. Experience with managing wildlife habitat. Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a biological, natural, agricultural, or aquacultural sciences.

Must maintain any required licensure (s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials. Working Conditions Must be able to work outside in temperature extremes for long periods of time and traverse rough terrain. Must be able to swim. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in
