Job Summary We are hiring two reliable Kennel Attendants to join our team and provide care for the animals at our main campus in northern Rio Rancho. This is an 11 acre working ranch and responsibilities take place indoors and outdoors, regardless of weather. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal care, a passion for working with animals, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Kennel Attendants will be responsible for feeding and exercising the dogs, cleaning kennels and cages, and providing general care to ensure the health and safety of all animals at our facility.

Job Duties:

Must be willing and able to work with large breed canines Transporting animals to and from the kennels. (Must be willing and able to lift 40lbs unassisted.) Ensuring that the animals have ample, fresh food and water at all times. Cleaning animal waste, spilled food, hair, and other debris from the kennels. Disposing of trash in a timely manner. Accompanying animals on walks, if required. Calming animals who are in distress. Evacuating all animals if an emergency occurs. Assist adopters, donors and public on tours of Ranch and dog kennels when needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous animal shelter experience a plus! Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Physically fit and agile. A passion for animal welfare. Available to work weekends and public holidays, if required.
