Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Lead Barn Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and farming, with the ability to perform various tasks related to the maintenance of the barn and the well-being of the animals. This role is essential in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our animals are healthy and well-cared for. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring their health. Maintain cleanliness in the barn and surrounding areas by mucking stalls and disposing of waste. Assist in the handling and movement of animals as needed. Operate hand tools and equipment safely for various tasks around the barn. Perform heavy lifting tasks, including moving feed, bedding, and other supplies. Support farm operations by performing general maintenance tasks as needed. Able to train new employees and help lead a team. Skills Experience with animal handling and care is required, especially horses. Familiarity with equine management is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day. Proficiency in using hand tools for maintenance and repairs. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required.
