Position Summary Create extraordinary wildlife experiences while helping lead the people, programs, and standards behind Nemacolin's Wildlife Adventures. As Wildlife Supervisor, you will work alongside the wildlife manager and team to guide daily operations, strengthen associate capability, support animal welfare, and ensure guests encounter knowledgeable, engaging experiences that reflect the care and professionalism behind the scenes. What You Will Create Exceptional wildlife experiences by helping associates deliver knowledgeable, engaging, and polished tours, programs, and activities that connect guests with animals and the stories behind their care A confident and capable team by coaching associates through program execution, animal care, guest interactions, and the standards that make Wildlife Adventures memorable Consistency across daily operations by coordinating staff, reservations, scheduled activities, and changing priorities so guests, associates, and animals receive the attention they need A culture of animal welfare grounded in attentive husbandry, established care standards, direct participation in animal care, and continued support for training and enrichment Safe, welcoming environments through oversight of back-of-house standards, maintenance priorities, special projects, and facilities that support high-quality guest and animal experiences Group programs that feel seamless and intentional by partnering with the wildlife manager and team to align guest expectations, team execution, animal care, and operational details Operational readiness through thoughtful anticipation of supply needs, inventory management, ordering, and resource coordination A visible standard of leadership by working alongside the team, participating in daily operations, and reinforcing professional accountability through example What You Can Expect A hands-on leadership role balancing animal care, guest engagement, associate development, and operational coordination through systems, computer programs, and personal interactions A varied environment involving exotic and domestic animals, wildlife programming, equestrian activities, facilities, and changing guest needs Daily collaboration with the wildlife manager, team, other resort departments, and guests participating in tours and experiences A role that requires flexibility, physical activity, outdoor work, and comfort working around animals, equipment, and changing weather conditions Opportunities to strengthen leadership, animal care, program development, and hospitality expertise through direct involvement in a distinctive resort operation What You Bring Genuine curiosity about animals and a deep respect for animal welfare, attentive care, and responsible guest interaction A confident, encouraging leadership presence that helps associates grow while maintaining clear expectations and consistent standards A warm, engaging communication style that helps guests feel informed, comfortable, and connected to the experience The composure and judgment to remain focused, professional, and solutions-oriented when priorities shift or challenges arise Strong organization and follow-through when coordinating people, schedules, reservations, supplies, and operational details A collaborative mindset and willingness to work alongside the team in hands-on animal care and daily operations A commitment to safety, cleanliness, accountability, and continuous improvement The ability to recognize opportunities, anticipate needs, and communicate effectively with leaders, associates, and partner departments Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with animals in a professional, educational, zoological, wildlife, equestrian, or related setting, with a bachelor's degree in animal science, wildlife biology, or a related discipline preferred Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience preferred Ability to obtain and maintain any required licenses, certifications, or animal-care credentials associated with assigned responsibilities Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and special events as operational needs require Ability to meet the physical demands of animal care, including lifting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license and ability to operate resort vehicles or equipment as required Additional Information This job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties, responsibilities, or activities associated with this position.
