Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in students' lives by providing specialized Science instruction in a supportive educational environment. As a Special Education Teacher with a focus on Science, you will guide learners with unique needs, helping them reach their full potential for the 2026/2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers a chance to use your expertise, creativity, and compassion in a role that truly matters.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field Valid Special Education Teacher certification Demonstrated experience teaching Science, preferably within special education settings Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Exceptional communication and classroom management skills Ability to build connections with students, parents, and colleagues Experience adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver targeted Science instruction to students identified with learning differences Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families Track and document student progress, making program modifications as necessary Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate where all students feel supported Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school community activities
