Science/Math Teacher
- Grades 4-8 (Bilingual

South Texas Center for Academic & Student Support a Division ofSuccessful Practices Network (SPN)Schedule:
Full-Time | 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM | Year-Round About SPN Successful Practices Network (SPN) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving outcomes for all students.
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in mathematics and science for grades 4-8
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English Language Learners (ELLs)
- Use data-driven practices and assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and compliance requirements
- Establish and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment focused on student achievement
- Integrate technology and hands-on learning to support student engagement
- Collaborate with instructional staff, administrators, and support personnel
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and stakeholders as appropriate
- Participate in required professional development and staff meetings
- Support program expectations, policies, and student supervision as needed Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certification in:
- Core Subjects (Grades 4-8), or
- Mathematics (Grades 4-8), and Science (Grades 4-8)
- Bilingual in Spanish (required)
- ESL Certified or in process of obtaining certification
- Ability to pass federal background check requirements Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Math, Science, or related field
- Experience working with English language learners
- Familiarity with technology-driven or blended learning environments Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to simplify complex scientific/math concepts for diverse learners
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and classroom management
- Experience with student information systems (SIS)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and manage classroom/lab materials
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout instructional periods Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $79,000
