$35.09 per hour (w2) Senior Scientist, Product Development R D We are seeking an independent and highly motivated Scientist to join the Product Development R D team. This role reports to the Product Development team in the U.S. and will support product launches in Canada. The position focuses on the technical evaluation, development, and execution of products for the Canadian market. The Senior Scientist will be responsible for managing documentation and product development activities for mid- to low-complexity projects. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in formulation science, process development, and GxP compliance (including GDP, GMP, and GCP), along with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Product Development representative for regional Canadian projects, acting as the technical point of contact for Product Development Canada. Participate in project planning, timeline management, and milestone execution to support successful product launches. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R D, Commercial Marketing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing to achieve project objectives. Conduct product feasibility assessments for the Canadian market by reviewing existing data, identifying gaps, and coordinating with external manufacturing (EM) sites and U.S. teams on formulation options. Generate and maintain technical documentation and specifications required for regulatory clearance and commercial launch. Prepare detailed experimental protocols, technical reports, and development documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Support product and process development activities within the consumer health industry while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Qualifications Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field. Strong knowledge of formulation science, ingredient functionality, product compliance, and the consumer products market. Understanding of the regulatory landscape and requirements for personal care products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and matrixed organizations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience Requirements Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with 0-2 years of relevant experience, OR M.S. with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree with relevant industry experience. Experience in product and process development within the consumer health industry preferred.
