Screw Machine Set-up/Operator

Summary:

The Screw Machine Set-up/Operator will have a variety of daily responsibilities including setting up jobs on the screw machines, repairing down machines, trouble shooting problems, training new people for the screw machine area, adjusting tooling, gaging parts, operating machines, and keeping the area clean. When operating a machine, the Screw Machine Setup person will be responsible for routine maintenance on the machines and must also be able to follow specific instructions and work in a safety-oriented manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Setup jobs on the machine Assist with repairing machines Check parts off machine to ensure they comply with print specifications Make tooling adjustments ensure dimensional compliance Operate and maintain equipment Move material by hand or assisted with equipment when needed Clean work area Perform various maintenance activities Work with office and supporting departments

Qualification Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 2 years set up experience Must understand the formulas and calculations of speeds and feeds Must be able to do mathematics: add, subtract, multiply and division. Must be able to read non digital micrometers and blue prints Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more Must be detail oriented in order to ensure parts meet print specifications Must be cooperative, a team player and have good communication skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: Sit, stand and walk on oily surfaces Moving material routinely
