In this vital role, you will support the daily operations of our early childhood education environment, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging space for children. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives while gaining valuable classroom experience. As a Seasonal Assistant Teacher on the closing shift, you will help maintain a warm and organized environment that promotes growth, learning, and fun for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Responsibilities Assist in supervising children during the closing hours of the day, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support classroom management by helping implement activities that foster development in areas such as social skills, language, and motor coordination Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and materials to promote health standards Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed Support staff with behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among children Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures diligently to ensure a secure environment Communicate effectively with team members about children's progress and any concerns that arise during the shift Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is highly valued Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is advantageous Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is beneficial Previous hands-on experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children enhances your ability to succeed in this role This position is paid and designed for individuals passionate about nurturing young minds while gaining meaningful experience in early childhood education.
