SEASONAL HORTICULTURIST ASSISTANT, CONSERVATION & COLLECTIONS

Longwood Gardens is seeking a seasonal Horticulturist Assistant to support our Conservation Horticulture and Collections team. This individual will be responsible for performing tasks critical to the daily operations of the Research Nursery and Greenhouses.

Responsibilities include:

Weeding, mowing, mulching, pruning, potting, watering, and planting General care of the diverse research, breeding, and plant exploration collections in these spaces The ideal candidate will possess: Proficiency with basic plant identification and horticultural skills. Experience working in a nursery or public garden is preferred. A valid driver's license and the ability to operate an electric cart and work with staff at various levels including interns and students.
