Seasonal Landscape Technician

SUMMARY Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials in various stages of landscape production. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Typically reports to the operation manager or supervisor. Requires basic math skills, excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to work as a team member. Must be able to perform all general labor functions. Must be alert and ready to react quickly with direct communication to the supervisor. Good housekeeping skills and ability to perform physical requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must obtain the ability to understand and complete duties as assigned. Able to pick up 50 pounds. Able to perform manual labor tasks. (ie. Digging, Hand Grading, Backfilling, Push Broom, Raking, etc.) Regular, timely attendance. Able to take verbal directions from others, safety minded, team oriented, and task oriented. Has an understanding about being around moving equipment and machinery. Must be able to get to the work site and the shop. All aspects of the physical requirements are essential elements of the job function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate hand and power tools to assist in landscape irrigation installation tasks. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must participate in weekly safety meetings. Attend additional training as needed or required. Must have a means of transportation to get to and from job sites. Assist with a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Maintain a clean and neat appearance. Willingness to work in all kinds of weather and conditions.
