Seasonal Landscaper

We're Hiring! Mericle Construction, Inc. is currently seeking a Seasonal Landscaping Technician for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. This is a great opportunity for college students looking for summer work, as well as individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in outdoor maintenance and grounds care.

Pay:

$16.00-$18.00/hour to start, with annual increases for returning team members.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (40 hours/week). Flexible start dates (April, May, or June) and project end dates (August, September, or October) to accommodate school schedules! As a Seasonal Landscaping Technician, you will support the cultivation and care of landscaping and grounds surrounding Mericle buildings and properties, including parking lots, sidewalks, and common areas. Mericle Construction, Inc. is the largest, full-service developer of industrial, office, flex, and medical space along Pennsylvania's I-81 Corridor. Mericle has developed more than 100 buildings in the Scranton/Pittston/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton area. The Mericle team includes licensed architects, land planners, professional engineers, surveyors, licensed electricians, plumbers, carpenters, leasing and marketing professionals, property managers, and more.

Responsibilities:

Maintain common areas lawns. Pick up trash and clear storm drains and curbs. Plant new flowers, grass and trees removing old and/or dead plant material. Trims shrubs, mulch gardens and trees. Perform land-clearing activities including removal of live and dead trees.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old 6+ Months of landscaping experience Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, delays or unexpected events. Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
