Dublin Lake Club, Dublin, NH Job Summary:

Lifeguards at the Dublin Lake Club are responsible for ensuring the safety of all members enjoying the beach and lake between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from June 16 through September 1. This role involves active surveillance of the swimming area, including two swim rafts and a large raft with a diving board, diving platform, and slide. Lifeguards are also responsible for maintaining the beach area to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.

00 per hour 21-35 hours per week, from mid-June to the end of August.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age. Current CPR/First Aid certification. Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Swimmer Safety:

Vigilantly monitor the swimming area to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all swimmers. Enforce swimming rules and regulations. Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and provide appropriate assistance.

First Aid:

Administer minor first aid for injuries such as splinters, cuts, and scrapes. Assess and respond to emergency situations according to training.

Beach Maintenance:

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the beach area. Rake the beach to remove holes and debris. Remove lost and found items daily. Report any significant maintenance needs.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with sailing staff regarding potential boaters in distress. Maintain clear communication with members and other staff.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Ability to swim proficiently and perform rescues in open water. Ability to lift and carry equipment and assist individuals in distress. Ability to work outside in various weather conditions, including sun, heat, and rain. Ability to hear and see clearly to monitor swimmers.

Work Environment:

Outdoor environment at the Dublin Lake Club beach. Exposure to varying weather conditions.
