The Seasonal Resort Operations Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for the resort's pool, pool bar, cabanas, surf shop, ice cream shop and surrounding amenities, serving as the primary driver of a safe, profitable, and resort-caliber guest experience. As the on-site leader, the Seasonal Resort Operations Manager is responsible for assisting in the development, training and enforcement of operational standards while supervising and mentoring the Pool Complex staff. The individual in this role ensures the pool complex maintains the high level of expected cleanliness and safety while operating smoothly on a daily basis. As a co-leader of the overall Food & Beverage division, this individual will assist as needed in other operations including concerts, banquets and various special events. Leadership & Supervision Provide ongoing coaching to ensure high standards of safety, service, cleanliness, and professionalism are met by all pool complex staff. Generate weekly schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to support guest safety and service demands. Lead and motivate pool complex staff, including attendants, bar team, and retail associates. Oversee first aid certification, re-certifications, and emergency response drills. Respond to escalated staff concerns and issues as needed and provide timely solutions. Operations Management Develop operational standards for the pool complex and oversee day-to-day operations of the pool, pool bar, ice cream shop, cabanas, and surf shop. Ensure all opening, running and closing duties are performed accurately and in a timely manner, and all areas are guest ready. Coordinate with the Food & Beverage, Retail and Maintenance departments to support smooth service delivery. Review and approve inventory replenishment requests for supplies, towels, retail stock, and cabana amenities. Work alongside the Director of F&B to support food & beverage service coordination for cabanas and poolside areas. Coordinate regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs with the facilities team to keep the pool area in top condition. Report operational challenges, successes, and proposed solutions to the Director of F&B. Guest Experience Deliver a resort-level guest experience by creating a safe, clean, welcoming, and enjoyable pool environment. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and special accommodation needs. Balance the needs of long-term RV residents with transient guests through strategic programming and consistent enforcement of resort-wide safety and cleanliness rules. Partner with the Recreation Supervisor to plan and coordinate poolside activities, special events, and wellness programming (e.g., aqua fitness, family games, live entertainment). Promote amenities, cabana rentals, and retail offerings to enhance guest experience and maximize revenue. Safety & Compliance Lead daily salt-air mitigation and fresh-water rinsing of equipment while maintaining a "High-Wind" emergency plan to secure the property against tropical storms and lightning. Guarantee 100% uptime of specialized pool equipment (including ADA lifts) and enforce strict "Sand-to-Pool" transition rules to maintain water clarity and resort standards. Enforce all pool rules and safety protocols and ensure team adherence to resort/hotel standards. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing pool facilities. Lead emergency response efforts in case of incidents, accidents, or weather-related closures. Review records for pool logs, incidents, inspections, and staff certifications, from the Pool Complex Team. Maintain updated knowledge of CPR, First Aid, and emergency response procedures. Respond to any incidents, damages, or maintenance issues presented by the Pool Complex Team. Engage in the corrective action process as needed, and ensure necessary actions are taken promptly. Maintain the coastal ambiance by proactively managing the "Indoor-Outdoor" dining flow, ensuring that salt-air, sand, and humidity do not compromise the "elevated" dining atmosphere, cleanliness of outdoor seating, or the functionality of coastal-exposed POS and furniture. Participate in the Manager-on-Duty (MOD) program as assigned. Assist team members in other areas of the Food & Beverage department as needed to ensure smooth operations. Perform additional duties as requested.
