SECRETARIAL POSITION/CLERICAL I-B CRESTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL SECRETARY JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide a variety of secretarial support to the assigned administrators and the department; establish and maintain records, coordinate and complete assigned projects, and compile and distribute a wide variety of materials and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate Associate's Degree preferred Work-related experience is beneficial Fluent in Oral and written English and Arabic preferred Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the handling of records and information Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word Experience with MiStar, SMART, and Parchment preferred
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of general office operations and equipment use. Excellent human relations and communication skills. Excellent record-keeping skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. Receive, screen, and route telephone calls and incoming correspondence. Respond to general inquiries. Ability to develop spreadsheets, use databases, and do word processing. Compiles data (e.g., work orders, budget reports, specialized reports, time sheets, personnel records, etc.) Coordinates and completes assigned projects and/or delivers services in a timely fashion. Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., proper distribution of materials to a variety of departments, arrangements for conferences, meetings, travel requirements, etc.) for the purpose of completing activities and/or delivering services in a timely fashion. Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., work orders, time sheets, expense reimbursement requests, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date information and/or historical reference in accordance with established administrative guidelines and legal requirements. Monitors a wide variety of activities on behalf of the Principal for the purpose of achieving the goals and meeting target dates in compliance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. Reconciles account balances for assigned budget categories for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances. Processes a variety of documents and materials (e.g., time sheets, work orders, requisitions, invoices, etc) for the purpose of disseminating information in compliance with established guidelines. Communicates with other employees and departments. Administrators, applicants, and the public for the purpose of providing information and assistance relating to Crestwood High School. Performs such other duties as assigned by the Principal.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must use keyboards, tools, and other controls. The employee must sit and stand for long periods. The employee must have normal vision and hearing with or without aid. The employee must be able to move about the assigned location unaided during the day.
