SECRETARIAL POSITION/CLERICAL I-A KINLOCH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL SECRETARY JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide secretarial support to the assigned administrators and the department, establishing and maintaining records, coordinating and completing assigned projects, and compiling and distributing various materials and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate Associate's Degree preferred Work-related experience is beneficial Fluent in Oral and written English and Arabic preferred Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the handling of records and information Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word Experience with MiStar, SMART, and Frontline preferred
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of general office operations and equipment use Excellent human relations and communication skills Excellent record-keeping skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision Receive, screen, and route telephone calls and incoming correspondence Respond to general inquiries Ability to develop spreadsheets, use databases, and do word processing Compiles data (e.g., work orders, budget reports, specialized reports, time sheets, personnel records, etc.) Coordinates and completes assigned projects and/or delivers services promptly Maintains various manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., proper distribution of materials to multiple departments, arrangements for conferences, meetings, travel requirements, etc.) to complete activities and/or deliver services promptly Maintains various manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g,. work orders, time sheets, expense reimbursement requests, etc.) to provide up-to-date information and/or historical reference by established administrative guidelines and legal requirements Monitors various activities on behalf of the Principal to achieve the goals and meet target dates in compliance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements Reconciled account balances for assigned budget categories to maintain accurate account balances. Processes documents and materials (e.g., time sheets, work orders, requisitions, invoices, etc) to disseminate information per established guidelines Communicates with other employees, departments, administrators, applicants, and the public to provide information and assistance relating to Kinloch Elementary School Performs such other duties as assigned by the Principal The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds in supplies, which requires bending, stooping,g and lifting. The employee must be able to use various instructional materials in the classroom. The employee must use their hands and arms to manipulate objects. The employee must use keyboards, tools, and other controls. The employee must sit and stand for long periods. The employee must have normal vision and hearing with or without aid. The employee must be able to move about the assigned location unaided during the day.
