LOCATION

Carl T Curtis Health Education Center SUMMARY:

To provide protection of the entire Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center building, patients, and employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following: Tour the buildings and grounds to protect property, patients, and employees from the danger of accidents, fire, theft or intrusion. Incumbent periodically tours of building and grounds, examines doors, locks, and windows to determine that they are secure and not tampered with. Enforces Health Center Security rules and regulations by patrolling grounds to detect and prevent vandalism and illegal entry. Check unauthorized personnel for questioning, routes, or detains them or telephones the police for assistance, according to the circumstances. Reports fires, accidents, hazards, and any unusual conditions or malfunctions of heating, plumbing, or electrical systems. Checks cars to determine if vehicles are parked in restricted areas, such as near fire hydrants or in driveways and ambulance entrance. Escorts personnel to and from parking lots between buildings as requested. Submits daily log of activities and prepare written report of all unusual situations and conditions encountered during our tour of duty. Observes patients and visitors closely, assist all Health Center personnel in restraining disturbed and belligerent patients, and/or visitors. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Possess a valid Driver's License, must be insurable by Tribal insurance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must be willing to work flexible hours to cover shifts. Must be reliable, dependable, with good work practices, and able to follow instructions.
