Security Officer - Private Beach Community Position Overview Safety First is hiring dependable and professional Security Officers for full-time and part-time positions at a private coastal residential and beach community in the Old Lyme area. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, observant, and committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and visitors. This position involves a combination of access control, patrol duties, community presence, and customer service throughout the property. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the community and beach areas Monitor entrances, parking areas, and access points Verify resident and guest access when required Observe and report suspicious activity, disturbances, or safety concerns Enforce community rules, parking regulations, and quiet hours professionally Respond to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns as needed Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately Provide professional customer service to residents, guests, and vendors Assist with traffic flow and parking management during busy periods or events Maintain a visible and professional security presence at all times Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED Ability to pass a background check Reliable transportation Strong communication and observation skills Ability to work independently and remain alert during shifts Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Qualifications Connecticut Security Guard License (Guard Card) Prior experience in security, customer service, hospitality, or law enforcement CPR/AED or First Aid certification Experience working in residential communities, beach properties, or seasonal environments What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and assignment Flexible scheduling (full-time and part-time opportunities) Ongoing training and development Professional and supportive work environment Consistent seasonal and long-term work opportunities How to Apply Please submit your application along with your resume.
