Security Officer - Driver Patrol

As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in Ottawa, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. PM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response instructions at a chemical and industrial location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns for reporting. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor permissions, and document security-related events, observations, and incident details in accordance with post orders. Support emergency and evacuation activities by helping direct people, maintaining order at access points, and relaying timely information to supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
