PM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, provide directions, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations. Assist with routine security-related duties such as writing incident reports, noting daily activity, and relaying important information to supervisors and/or designated site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements. Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue. Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment. Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field. Possess a paramedic certification. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
