As a Security Officer Mobile Driver Enhanced Part Time in Darlington, MD , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues at a utilities location
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas while following post orders, verifying authorized access, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy concerns
• Support daily operations by completing incident reports, communicating with employees, visitors, and contractors, and helping to maintain an orderly environment throughout the assigned location.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Access control and badge experience is preferred
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
