Position Summary We're looking for a Foreman/Supervisor with strong hands-on experience in enterprise access control and CCTV systems, especially Genetec Security Center (Synergis & Omnicast) and Lenel. This is a high-profile supervisory role on a major New York State construction project in Elmont, NY — a multi-million dollar development. In this role, you will not be doing the installation yourself — instead, you will be overseeing and quality-checking the work of an installation crew on behalf of Care Security Systems. You will ensure all work is completed to our quality specifications, follows project plans, and will function correctly upon activation. This role is ideal for someone who: Has lead tech experience and is ready to step into a true supervisory role Can hold their own in a large-scale, high-pressure New York construction environment Is a strong communicator with presence, confidence, and professionalism Thrives in an interfacing role between field crews and project management Has thick enough skin to be effective on a major construction site What You'll Do Oversee and quality-check all security system installation work performed by the on-site crew Ensure all work is completed according to project plans, riser diagrams, and Care Security's specifications Serve as the on-site point of contact — answer questions from the installation crew, investigate issues, and communicate solutions Interface directly with Care Security's Project Manager to report progress, flag issues, and ensure alignment Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system drawings to verify proper execution Verify that all installed systems will function correctly upon commissioning Maintain a high standard of safety, professionalism, and appearance on a high-profile job site Represent Care Security Systems with the same care you'd show to family Required Experience 5-7 years of hands-on experience installing/servicing commercial enterprise access control & CCTV systems Enterprise-level construction site experience is required — candidates with only intercom, Ring alarm, or residential experience will not be considered 2-3 years leading or supervising field teams (foreman, lead tech, crew leader, etc.) 6 months-2 years hands-on experience terminating: Honeywell ProWatch Genetec Security Center - Synergis & Omnicast Proven experience working on large-scale, multi-trade construction projects Technical Skills We're Looking For Expert in access control panel/controller termination Skilled in installing card readers (HID, Wiegand), door hardware, electronic locks, and field devices Strong CCTV installation background: IP cameras, cabling, terminations, NVR/DVR platforms Solid understanding of IP networking (switches, PoE, addressing, device connectivity) Able to read/interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system drawings — this is critical for this role Experienced with Cat5e/Cat6, coax, low-voltage cabling, pulling wire, and field troubleshooting Leadership & Soft Skills This is where the untrainable qualities matter most: Strong presence and personality — this is a high-profile job site, you must be able to command respect and communicate with confidence Natural leader who can earn respect with professionalism and calm confidence Excellent communicator — you will be the liaison between the installation crew and Care Security's project management Able to answer technical questions on the spot, or know how to investigate and get the right answer quickly Comfortable working in large-scale, fast-paced New York construction environments Positive attitude, solution-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering top-tier work Team-first mentality — no egos, no drama, just professionalism and pride Other Requirements Valid driver's license Ability to travel across NYC's 5 boroughs & Long Island Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied environments Must be local or willing to commute to the Elmont, NY area Compensation & Benefits $38.00-$50.00/hour (based on experience) 401(k) with company matching Medical, dental & vision insurance Life & disability insurance Paid time off Flexible schedule Growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company Schedule Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts Some flexibility based on project needs If This Sounds Like You… You're a seasoned technician ready to step into a leadership role on one of New York's most high-profile construction projects.
