Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team for an exciting school-based opportunity. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with visual impairments in reaching their full academic and functional potential. The position would be in Lillington, NC for the full 26/27 school year.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments Conduct assessments and assist in developing IEP goals and accommodations Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success Adapt instructional materials (including Braille, large print, assistive technology) Support orientation and mobility needs as appropriate Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Qualifications:
Active TVI certification/licensure in NC Bachelor's or Master's degree in Visual Impairments or related field Previous school-based experience preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills Why Join Us?
