Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Semi Truck Driver Class A and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely using local and regional routes. Your expertise in commercial driving will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence in transportation services. Duties Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with automatic or manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and security. Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving schedules and adjusting for traffic or weather conditions. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of freight documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any unforeseen issues. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial transportation, including delivery driver experience. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks with a strong understanding of tractor-trailer dynamics. Ability to handle various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks confidently. Skilled in load & unload operations using forklifts or other equipment while maintaining safety standards. Excellent route planning skills combined with the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions on the road. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols related to trucking operations.
