Semi Truck/Trailer Technician

• 2-3 years of trailer repair or similar experience
• Strong work ethic
• Self motivated
• Takes pride in their work
• Good trouble shooting skills and ability to work alone.
• Class A or B CDL is a plus but not required
• Welding, carpentry and fabrication skills are a plus but not required.
• Monday
• Friday 8AM-4:30PM with opportunity to go to 4-10 hour shifts Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our semi trailers; dry vans, reefers, flatbeds and tankers
• Repair CMV's and Trailers as required to meet the standards by DOT
• Remove and replace tires, brakes, drums, hubs, bearings, seals and associated parts
• Repair and replace air lines, fittings etc.
• Repair and replace springs, hangers, equalizers, slider assemblies, axles, frames and flooring
• Repair electrical and lighting systems
• Repair and replaces mud flaps, brackets and landing gear assemblies
• Repair roofs, panels, lower and upper rails
• Repair and replace flooring, rub rails, doors, trip and door locks
• Perform annual inspections on all equipment and keep up to date
• Communicate with drivers and dispatch as to when repairs are completed
• Must follow all Company, DOT, State and Federal transportation safety regulations;
• Communication with drivers and immediate supervisor
