Sterling Engineering is partnering with a manufacturing company in the Hampshire area to hire a Senior Accountant to support month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and overall accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare month-end journal entries and support month/year-end close processes Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting activities Partner with FP&A, management, and other departments to improve financial processes Support invoicing, AP activities, and additional accounting functions as needed Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to analyze financial data and generate reports Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and internal accounting procedures Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 4+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment required Strong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting processes Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
