SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The primary focus of this position is to plan, organize, and carry out the daily activities of the Center while providing the best care possible to clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This listing is representative of the duties and responsibilities of the position, but is not to be construed as all inclusive: Prepare monthly activity calendar for the Center including arranging for guest speakers, trips, and other activities. Assure that all monetary and other resources dedicated to the Center are utilized properly and that operational procedures are followed. Maintain accurate inventory and repair records. Coordinate the transportation needs of Clients with drivers and Transportation Director as necessary. Oversee the preparation of the daily meals served in the Center and delivered to homebound clients. With Kitchen Manager, complete kitchen requisition, inventory, and ordering meals from the main kitchen with a 5% difference. Covers the Kitchen in the absence of the Kitchen Manager. Maintain all statistics and prepare all reports required by the Program Director on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Volunteers clock in on ST and there is no paper calendar to be maintained now Utilize the ServTracker computer to maintain Client records and other statistical information. Plan and coordinate Center fundraisers Participate in Agency-wide events and fundraisers as needed. Publicize Center events using effective methods that may include: physically going out into the community to promote the center, local media, posters or flyers, and public speaking appearances. Recruit new members to the Center by visiting senior homes when possible to encourage them to come to the Center. Market out into the community to increase center membership. Provide information to make referrals for Clients including referrals to Outreach Workers and other Agency and/or non-agency programs. Responsible for counting the meal donations and making daily deposits. Ensure that the Center is clean, neat, attractive, and comfortable for the members. Attend required training sessions and maintain certification in required skills such as CPR, First Aid, and Serv Safe. Responsible for training, scheduling, and supervising volunteers.
