  • A privately held, restructured insurance organization operating in the retirement and annuity space, backed by a larger financial services parent company is looking to bring on a Senior Business Analyst.
The firm is undergoing strategic transformation following a recent acquisition by a global investment-backed insurance platform. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong knowledge of the Life & Annuities industry to support strategic business and technology initiatives. This role will partner with business leaders, operations teams, and technology vendors to improve annuity operations, support system integrations, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive improvements across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements for annuity and insurance-related initiatives. Partner with stakeholders, TPAs, and technology teams to support system integrations, operational enhancements, and project delivery. Assist with business process analysis, workflow optimization, and issue resolution across annuity operations. Track project progress, identify risks or gaps, and communicate updates to business and technical stakeholders. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure data accuracy, system performance, and SLA compliance. Support reporting and dashboard development using Power BI and related analytics tools. Participate as needed in testing activities including UAT, validation, and post-implementation support.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience Experience within the Life & Annuities or Retirement Services industry with a strong understanding of annuity products, insurance operations, and carrier processes. Experience supporting data integrations, reporting initiatives, and business process improvements. Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365 preferred. Familiarity with platforms such as EXL LifePro, Firelight, Snowflake, or NetSuite is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
