Job Description
Description GAI Consultants Inc is seeking a Senior Civil Project Designer 1 to join their team. In this position, you will interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments. Serve as a task manager for projects, as well as a technical Specialist. This position is eligible for GAI's flexible Hybrid workplace place/Telework Policy. This position will be based out of any of our offices. GAI's Power Business Unit focuses on developing and supporting Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing clients.#
Experience in mass grading and linear projects.
Stays current on software updates and advises based on technical changes.
Promotes and instructs others on advanced techniques and new methods.
Physical RequirementsAbility to work indoors in professional office settings.
Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks.
Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
Visual acuity to read printed materials, digital screens, detailed documents, and perform detailed work.
Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment. Ability to move between workstations and attend in-person meetings.
Ability to lift and carry office materials or equipment weighing up to 10-20 pounds, with or without assistance.
Adequate hearing to participate in conversations, phone calls, and virtual meetings.
Ability to travel for meetings, training, or business purposes.
General CharacteristicsInterprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments; serves as a Task Manager for small to midsize projects; serves as the technical specialist in the field of expertise; up to speed on industry standards and Company policies and procedures.
Minimum Years of Experience16+ Years of ExperienceEducationAssociate Degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience.
Certification/LicensureDriver's LicenseTechnical ResponsibilitiesLead and manage tasks to successful completion for time, budget, schedule, and quality.
Project and Task ManagementResponsible for task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.
Management ResponsibilityProvides advisement on scopes, budgets, and schedules for work to be completed; works with other project leadership to complete their assigned tasks; maintains GAI's procedures and protocols.
Responsible for management and administration of staff.
Communication SkillsRoutinely interacts with clients, leads project and group meetings and presentations; possess marketing and sales skills; represents Company in a positive light; interacts with Project Managers and leaders of the Company on a regular basis; attends meetings with company leaders on Group/Department status including financials reviews.
