Senior Executive Officer

NIST is seeking a Senior Executive Officer to serve as a senior advisor and operational leader to the CFO and DCFO. This position focuses on driving strategic leadership, managing operations, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 (ZA-IV at NIST).

Specialized experience is defined as:

Advising senior leadership on budget, financial management, and administrative operations. Developing budget execution plans and financial resource allocations. Managing interagency agreements, service agreements, and operational support functions. Applying financial management policies, regulations, and internal controls to ensure compliance and effective operations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
